Photoshop Tutorial – 3D text effect (2020)

Photoshop tutorial – 3D text effect using the mixer brush tool, shadows and highlights.
On this tutorial video you can see the process of how to create a fake 3D text effect using various advanced Photoshop techniques. In order to achieve a similar effect you need to know the Photoshop tools quite good.
I used shadows, highlights, shines etc. and lots of other Photoshop tools in order to create the final result, from Mixer brush and pen tool to clipping masks and adjustment layers. In addition you have to be very familiar with the pen tool as you will see, I used it a lot.
I suggest to use a pen tablet like Wacom Intuos, because it really helps to create smoother lines and curves.

I tried to include as much information as possible but still keep the video short, meaningful and interesting.

If you have any questions let me know in the comments and I will try to explain more about the process.
